I am often asked what the first meeting with Pennyborne Development is like.
I can tell you, no two appointments are the same. However, for new entrepreneurs, I notice most have serious confidence issues. They have an idea or dream but are lost when manifesting it into a profitable business. Frequently, many entrepreneurs have difficulties putting their ideas into coherent words.
So, in my first meetings, I go through some dream-building exercises and recommendations. I listen attentively to the client discussing their future business, focusing on their soft skills and motivations for starting a business.
I then provide some literature on their market, industry, or possible aspects of their business that they may have not considered. My goal is to ascertain how determined they are to work, research and begin the journey of business ownership.
I adhere to these steps because it makes no sense to take money from clients, research industries, and markets, only to see my work sit on a shelf.
I am more interested in seeing people prosper than in making money.
